March Wipe Summary & Upcoming Wipe Details
Our March wipe proved to be a challenging month for the server. We started off strong, maintaining a healthy average population of 35–40 players per day. Unfortunately, this was disrupted by sustained DDoS attacks, which made the server largely unplayable during peak times.
While our hosting provider implemented all available mitigation measures, the attacks persisted. They only subsided once the server population dropped below 10 players per day. As a result, the attackers were ultimately successful in driving down player activity and negatively impacting the March wipe experience for many of our players.
Voodoo ZA was originally scheduled to shut down on 31 March 2026 unless a reliable solution to handle these attacks could be found. Thanks to a suggestion from one of our community members, we have identified a viable path forward.
The good news: Voodoo ZA will remain online and continue operating.
